Dr. Rand brings 27 years of experience utilizing the latest technologies, experience and skill to offer quality diagnosis, consultation and treatment of a wide range of musculoskeletal disorders. In addition to general orthopedic services and trauma care at the Providence Seaside Hospital and North Coast Clinic, surgical services for total hip and knee replacement, arthroscopic surgery, sports medicine, hand, and lumbar spine disorders are also offered.
A graduate of the University of California at Berkeley with highest scholastic honors he went on to medical school at UCLA School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery residency training at the University of Hawaii and his orthopedic residency training in San Francisco, California. He went on to complete fellowship training in spinal surgery at the University of Toronto before beginning private practice.
After growing up in many different areas of the country, Dr. Rand chose to settle in the Pacific Northwest with his wife, Sabrina. He enjoys training stock dogs and cutting horses, nature photography and fly fishing.
