Dr. Shaffer enjoys providing the full spectrum of comprehensive care to patients ranging from newborns to the elderly. He has cared for a number of four- and five-generation families in Seaside. "I care about my patients as well as for them," he says.
A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Oberlin College in Ohio,
Dr. Shaffer earned his medical degree at the University of California Medical School at San Francisco. He completed his family practice residency at Legacy Emanuel Hospital in Portland. Dr. Shaffer is board certified in family practice.
Dr. Shaffer is an active member of the Seaside United Methodist Church and serves on the Providence Seaside Hospital Community Board. An active musician, he plays percussion with several bands in the area. He and his wife, Ann, have raised both of thier daughters in Seaside.
