Providence Milwaukie Hospital’s volunteers serve 22 different departments within the hospital, with more than 30 different jobs being filled. Jobs range from gift shop clerk, eucharistic minister, music therapy, gift shop bookkeeper to special projects. Volunteers typically work a four hour shift, one day per week. Adult volunteers are requested to make a six-month commitment and student or teen volunteers are requested to make a three-month commitment.
All persons interested in volunteering at Providence Milwaukie Hospital should complete an application form and background disclosure (for those over 18). All applicants will be called for interviews in the order in which the applications are received. Once an applicant is interviewed and placed, they will be scheduled for a day and a half orientation.
