Comments from guests

Our guest comments are a great way to get to know us! Here's what a few people from around the world had to say about the Guest Housing Center.

What a huge and powerful gift it is to not have the usual stresses that go with being stranded so far from home with a very sick family member. Every hospital in our country needs a place like your Guest House. I know that anyone who is lucky enough to be a guest there will never forget it. I know I won't.
—West Des Moines, Iowa

After 54 days…did you ever think we would leave? How we will miss all our friends at Cross Guest Housing and all the wonderful other guests we got to know! Almost makes having heart surgery fun! This is not "goodbye", just "see you later."
—Kalispell, Montana

Thank you all for the wonderful way that you treated us. You helped a lot in my great recovery. I congratulate myself in choosing to stay in your great place!
—Laredo, Texas

This home away from home is the most convenient, loving and comfortable place a family could ask for while watching over a loved one at St. Vincent's. We cooked dinner in your well-stocked kitchen and had our relatives over. Other guests came in and we all had a great conversation and laughed a lot. We felt welcome and "a part of the family."
—Pendleton, Oregon

In the extremely stressful period as I went through my second cardiac bypass operation the Guest Housing Center was a major resource enabling us to cope with the situation, especially as we had come halfway around the world to St. Vincent's. The Guest House is certainly a cheerful, colorful place with excellent facilities for a comfortable stay. More than that, it is a warm, caring cocoon in which one feels secure and hopeful. This is entirely because of the warm, cordial and loving staff. I do not have enough words to thank them. It is because of them that this potentially nightmarish experience turned into a positive one for me, and even more so for my wife. May God bless them all.
