Overview
Orthopedics (sometimes spelled orthopaedic) is the branch of medicine that diagnoses and treats conditions, diseases and injuries of the musculoskelatal system—the body's muscles, bones, joints, and their supporting structures (ligaments, tendons and nerves).
Providence Orthopedic Services provides expertise to diagnosis and treat musculoskeletal injuries, fractures, pain, as well as the design of rehabilitation programs for our patients. Our team is comprised of physicians and health care professionals, such as physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses and others who provide comprehensive orthopedic care to help patients resume normal activities and health.

Providence lauded as CareScience 2005 "Top Performer" in two categories
Providence St. Vincent Medical Center has received Top Performer awards of overall quality and efficiency for care in both categories of total knee and hip replacements. CareScience acute care facilities, with at least 100 cases in the disease group studied between April 1, 2003 and March 31, 2004 were eligible for consideration.
