DETAILS: This six-week class is for the increasing number of people who find themselves
taking care of an older parent, spouse or friend.

  • 1 in 4 American households care for someone over age 50
  • Two-thirds of those caregivers also juggle careers outside the home

Learning to take care of yourself while offering care to someone else is extremely important. Studies show that care giving can take a toll on a person’s emotional and physical health. Caregivers are more likely to suffer from depression than their peers. Some studies also suggest caregivers are at increased risk of developing health problems such as diabetes and heart disease.

Class size is limited; registration is required. To register call 503-216-2261.
