DETAILS: The 25th annual Providence Festival of Trees is chaired by Linda Wright and presented by MetroWest Ambulance. To celebrate 25 years of working wonders, we have created a holiday village. During your visit, you can stroll through the village and survey over 130,000 lights on exquisitely decorated trees, stop in at our bookstore, listen to live entertainment, view mini-trees, wreaths, and go to the teddy bear hospital, where children 12 and under receive a free toy. Kids can capture holiday fun creating crafts in Santa’s Workshop and have a photo taken with Santa. Families can gather ideas for their own holiday decor and get tips from the experts on the Demonstrations Stage. And new this year – vote for your favorite tree in the festival’s first “People’s Choice Award” contest.
Providence Festival of Trees seeks to raise more than $500,000 to benefit Providence Health & Services programs: The Center for Medically Fragile Children at Providence Child Center, The Gately Academy, cancer research and support services at Providence Cancer Center, Center for Advanced Heart Disease at the Providence Heart and Vascular Institute and the medication assistance program to help obtain medication for the elderly and other individuals with limited financial means.
