Providence Heart and Vascular Institute Expands Services to Longview-Kelso Area

June 26, 2009

WHAT: Providence Heart and Vascular Institute opens a new clinic in Longview, giving heart patients in the area easy access to some of the Northwest’s best cardiologists.

WHERE: Providence Heart and Vascular Institute – Longview Clinic
625 9th Ave., Suite 120
Longview, Wash.

DETAILS: Over the years, more than 10,000 patients from the Longview/Kelso area have traveled to Portland for their treatment. Now, the drive for those patients takes minutes rather than more than an hour. Cardiologists from Providence Heart and Vascular Institute, who are also in private practice with Columbia Cardiology Associates, are now seeing patients at Providence Heart and Vascular Institute – Longview Clinic.

“Providence Heart & Vascular Institute and the exceptional medical team at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center have been committed to providing the best cardiac care to people living in the Longview/Kelso area for generations,” said Kristy Wayson, assistant administrator and executive director, Providence Heart and Vascular Institute. “We are very excited to be able to provide that same high quality cardiovascular treatment closer to their homes.”

Services offered at Providence Heart and Vascular Institute – Longview Clinic include:

  • Consultations with physicians from Columbia Cardiology Associates, some of the Northwest’s leading cardiologists,
  • Digital echocardiography to view the heart’s structure and function,
  • Nuclear stress testing to measure blood flow to the heart,
  • Heart-rhythm monitoring to record the heart’s electrical activity, and checkups to ensure that implanted devices are working properly,
  • Screenings to detect vascular diseases.

The clinic is open for cardiac consultations and diagnostic services every Tuesday and every other Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Patients wishing to schedule an appointment can call (360) 425-2454.
