Beating Breast Cancer, the NEXT Step: Nutrition and Exercise Today to Reduce Risk and Improve Survival – Join Cindy Reuter, N.D., LA.c., MSOM, R.D., Ken Weizer, N.D., and Miles Hassell, M.D., as they discuss: food and exercise choices that affect breast cancer risk; whole foods and the Mediterranean-style diet; why good food choices, and not supplements, are your best bet for good health; and how acupuncture, massage and naturopathic medicine can reduce side effects of cancer treatment. Smoking Cessation (11-week series) – Based on the American Lung Association's Freedom From Smoking program, Providence’ pharmacist-assisted smoking cessation classes are designed to help you quit smoking for good. You will learn a systematic approach to quitting through behavior modification techniques, coping skills, social support, and information on weight management and stress management. Fee: $225. Stress Management Series
Being unable to deal with stress has a damaging effect on mind and body. This series will help you understand, control and reduce stress. Class can be taken individually or as a series. Take all four classes for a reduced rate, and the chance to receive the special gift, "Letting Go of Stress," a CD by Dr. Emmett Miller and Steven Halpern. Fee: $68 for series or $20 for each class.     • Class 1, May 12 – Stress Reduction Through Relaxation
    • Class 2, May 19 – Managing Job Stress
    • Class 3, May 26 – Introduction to Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction
    • Class 4, June 2 – Stress and the Working Parent

Seven Strategies: Coping with the Recent Death of a Loved One
This free, one-hour seminar is for those who have lost a loved one in the last year. It offers suggestions on how to cope during the weeks and months following the death and includes information on additional resources available in the community.
