Providence Medical Group – Milwaukie Adds Women’s Health Physician

MILWAUKIE, Ore. — Dennis Tan, M.D., physician and surgeon, has joined the staff of Providence Medical Group – Milwaukie. Dr. Tan provides obstetric and gynecologic services.

Dr. Tan believes that his most important responsibility as a physician is to encourage patients to take charge of their own health. “It’s my job to understand the patient’s concerns and consider their personal and cultural beliefs. And it’s essential for patients to understand their condition,” he says. “Then we can work together to determine the best treatment options for them and find ways to maintain their health.” Dr. Tan speaks several languages, including Spanish, Taiwanese, Mandarin Chinese, and Tagalog (Filipino).

Dr. Tan earned his medical degree from The Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, Ill. He completed his internship and residency at White Memorial Medical Center in Los Angeles, Calif.
