Breastfeeding Preparation – Learn about maintaining a good milk supply, positioning your baby to avoid soreness, and solving common problems. Partners encouraged to attend. Fee: $42 per couple. Providence Health Plans members: $40.

Childbirth Preparation – This four-week class helps first-time parents prepare for comfortable labor and delivery. Includes combination of lectures, active practice and group discussion. Infant CPR – This class for parents and family members of infants addresses issues specific to infant CPR. Learn to perform rescue breathing, CPR and choking maneuvers for infants ages 1 month to 12 months. This is a non-certifying course. Do not bring children to class. Pricing is per person. Fee: $34. Maternity Orientation – This session familiarizes parents with the maternity unit, answers questions, and helps them feel more comfortable navigating the hospital prior to labor and delivery. Children ages 6 and older welcome. Does not include tour of the maternity unit. Free.

Childbirth Refresher Course – A course for parents who have previously taken a childbirth preparation class. Review medications, techniques for breathing and relaxation as well as birthing options. For Big Brothers- and Big Sisters-To-Be – Special sibling class for children ages 3 to 6 helps prepare them for new roles as a big brothers or sisters. Parents must be present. Childbirth Preparation Weekend Seminar – This seminar is for expectant parents who prefer a one-weekend course. Gain valuable information about labor and delivery, labor support, comfort measures and relaxation techniques. Parents should be in third trimesters of pregnancy. Two sessions: Friday evening, all day Saturday (a $5 lunch coupon is provided). Pricing is per couple. Fee: $115. Providence Health Plans members: $55. Financial assistance available.
