Providence Offers Free Community Forum for Parkinson’s Patients and Their Families

WHAT: Parkinson’s Disease: Recent Advances and Patient Empowerment. Join is at this free community forum where Parkinson’s experts discuss the signs, symptoms and treatment options for Parkinson’s disease.

Richard Rosenbaum, M.D., medical director of the Providence Center for Parkinson’s Disease at Providence Portland Medical Center, and Deborah Syna, M.D., medical director of the Providence Center for Parkinson’s Disease at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center, will discuss topics important to patients and their family members:

  • Advances in medications and treatments
  • Alternative therapies and herbal remedies
  • Tips on how to maintain quality of life
  • Advice on talking to your doctor and friends about your disease
