Dr. Lin enjoys practicing obstetrics and gynecology because of the happiness it brings to both her and her patients. “The birthing experience should be memorable and savored,” she says. “I truly enjoy participating in what is the most joyous occasion for a family.” Furthermore, she feels that “as women are often the cornerstone of a family unit, their health and welfare has far-reaching consequences.”
Dr. Lin earned her medical degree at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. She completed both her internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center, also in New York City.
The third of six children, Dr. Lin immigrated to the United States from Burma at the age of eight. Along with her husband and children, she enjoys traveling and outdoor activities.

Dr. Tan believes that his most important responsibility as a physician is to encourage patients to take charge of their own health. “It’s my job to understand the patient’s concerns and consider their personal and cultural beliefs. And it’s essential for patients to understand their condition,” he says. “Then we can work together to determine the best treatment options for them and find ways to maintain their health.”
Dr. Tan earned his medical degree from The Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, Ill. He completed his internship and residency at White Memorial Medical Center in Los Angeles, Calif.
Dr. Tan speaks several languages, including Spanish, Taiwanese, Mandarin Chinese, and Tagalog (Filipino). In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities with his wife and two children.
