Paul Blaylock, M.D.
As an immediate care physician, Dr. Blaylock emphasizes the “four C’s” in his medical practice: competence, compassion, communication with patients, and clinical experience. “Being a doctor is a gift from God,” he says. “I always try to be respectful and compassionate toward each and every patient.”
Dr. Blaylock is board certified in both emergency and legal medicine. He graduated at the top of his class from both the University of Tennessee Medical School in Memphis, Tenn., and from the Northwestern School of Law of Lewis & Clark College in Portland.
Having worked in emergency/trauma medicine for over 28 years, Dr. Blaylock served as the disaster triage doctor for the 1978 United Airlines crash in Portland, and provided medical disaster care at “ground zero” after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11 th in New York City.
A native of Tennessee, Dr. Blaylock’s hobbies include playing softball, tennis and golf. He has traveled extensively with his wife and has served as a medical lecturer while on cruise ships. In 2003, he was named “Outstanding University of Tennessee Alumnus.” Dr. Blaylock also speaks French.
