Chiles Research Institute is an emerging research center with nationally renowned scientists dedicated to basic science and patient-based research in cancer, infectious disease and heart disease. Gamma Knife Center of Oregon provides state-of-the-art, noninvasive treatment for people with neurological disorders. As a shared community resource, the Gamma Knife Center gives physicians access to the best treatment technologies available, expanding therapeutic options and improving quality of life for patients throughout the Northwest. Hyperbaric Unit: Provides therapy for wound healing and other medical treatments. Pressurized oxygen chambers are used to counter effects of carbon monoxide poisoning, smoke inhalation, infections, poor circulation, and scuba diving-related problems. Oregon Osteoporosis Center: A one-of-a-kind program for preventing and managing osteoporosis and other metabolic bone diseases. The Center is internationally recognized for its research into new treatments for osteoporosis. Providence Acute Rehabilitation Center is 23-bed comprehensive care unit provides high-quality care focused on achieving maximum self-sufficiency following a disabling health incident.
Providence Arthritis Center offers comprehensive care - from physician evaluations to therapy and education - in one location. Providence Child Center offers a range of services, including skilled nursing care and developmentally appropriate therapeutic programs in the Center for Medically Fragile Children; a Montessori school for preschoolers; and onsite day care serving Providence Health & Services employees. Providence Child Center also houses the Providence Neurodevelopmental Center for Children, an outpatient clinic for children with special needs, and the Jean Baton Swindells Resource Center for Children and Families. Providence Heart and Vascular Institute's Heart Clinic/Transplant Program is a community-based program includes outpatient consultations; individualized plans of medical therapy; advanced techniques in cardiovascular surgery; nutritional evaluation and counseling; assist devices; heart transplantation; and national clinical trials of cutting-edge medicines and procedures.
