Curriculum

Our educational objectives emphasize patient-centered, population-based and value-added skills necessary to provide excellent, cost-effective care. Core curriculum is designed to meet the accreditation requirements of the ACGME Residency Review Committee for Family Practice and certification requirements of the American Board of Family Practice.

The curriculum components based in the family practice center emphasize behavioral science, muskuloskeletal medicine, OB/GYN, dermatology, medical informatics, practice management, and instruction in complex and subspecialty care by following continuity patients to consultations.

Additional high-complexity inpatient experiences are provided at other collaborating facilities within Providence Health & Services in Oregon and at Oregon Health & Science University. Rotation schedules and rotation sites are currently subject to change as the program matures.
