Providence Portland: Center For Outcome Research and Education
TRAINING MINDS - TRANSFORMING LIVES
Established in 1989, The Center for Outcomes Research and Education (CORE) measures and assessed health care treatments and services through the application of research and systematic evaluation.
CORE’s current focus is on improving health care services, clinical informatics, quality and satisfaction reporting, providing support for compliance with regulatory policies as well as building infrastructure for health services research.
CORE has a team of directors, analysts, research assistants and other staff with expertise covering the entire gamut of health services research. CORE’s knowledge and skills in research methods, design, data collection, statistical analysis, information system development, and presentation of information are leveraged in collaboration with medical, nursing and administrative staff to determine a research agenda. As a unique resource, CORE strives to align itself with the strategic priorities and initiatives of Providence Health & Services and to embody the Providence Mission through its work.
