INTERVIEWS Invitations for interviews will be extended following review of each individual application. Interviews are conducted from December through January on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Fridays. Appointments are arranged by calling (800) 642-2131. We feel that personal contact is an important part of the application process. Face-to-face discussion during the interview allows a quality of communication that is not possible by letter or telephone. If you are planning on traveling to the Pacific Northwest, it is desirable that you notify us of your itinerary and provide a few alternative dates for the interview.
INTERVIEW DAY During your visit you will receive an overview of the people and activities at Providence Portland Medical Center and have an opportunity to speak with both residents and faculty. On interview day, you will be greeted by the chief resident, attend morning report, tour the facilities with a resident, meet with the program director and interview with two faculty members. Lunch will be provided and hosted by residents. To provide another opportunity to interact with residents, weekly informal dinners are scheduled.
