Working on in-depth academic projects is its own reward. Even more gratifying is when resident’s work is recognized nationally. Providence Portland has received nine national awards from the ACP in the past eight years for clinical vignette poster – the most of any program in the country. Inquisitive residents, close mentorship by faculty, and a diverse patient base all contribute to this success.
