Providence St. Vincent Medical Center is a major teaching affiliate of Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU). Many of our faculty and staff physicians hold academic appointments at OHSU, and the relationship is fostered by the mutual commitment to undergraduate medical education. Students from OHSU rotate on the medical wards, ICU and surgical services. They consistently rate their experience on the medicine wards and ICU as one of their best, citing the exceptional quality and quantity of teaching. Residents and faculty alike enjoy the challenges of teaching, which adds to the rigorous academic environment of the program.
