In light of the recent news involving a rare but serious brain infection acquired by two multiple sclerosis (MS) patients in Europe taking the drug Tysabri, Providence Multiple Sclerosis Center is offering a free forum for MS patients.
Join us Friday evening, August 15, to hear Stanley Cohan, M.D., Ph.D., and Mark Morrow, M.D. talk about the potential risks associated with Tysabri and your treatment options. Together, the Providence MS physicians will explain:
• What is progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML), the brain infection linked to Tysabri?
• What are the warning signs?
• What will my doctor do if he suspects PML?
• Can PML be treated?
• What are my other treatment options for MS?
Reservations requested but not required. To register, call 503-574-6595 or register on-line at www.providence.org/classes (select “Multiple Sclerosis: Tysabri and Other Treatment Options” from the class name dropdown list).
Free on-site parking. Free Providence shuttle from the Sunset Transit Station.
