A Patient and Family Educational Workshop.
Providence Cancer Center’s Thoracic Oncology Program offered a workshop for lung cancer patients and their support team on November 7, 2009. Speakers discussed advances in lung cancer treatment and offered emotional and psychological tools to support patients and caregivers. The archived presentations will provide information which will empower the lung cancer patient to live with and manage his or her disease.
Providence lung cancer experts presented information on:
- What are the most current treatment options?
- What resources are available?
- How can I find social support?
- Do alternative therapies, such as acupuncture, massage and naturopathy, really help?
- What can I do to help myself?
