Gamma Knife Team

 
Steven Seung, MD, PhD

Steven Seung, M.D., Ph.D., radiation oncologist, is medical director of the Gamma Knife Center of Oregon. He holds a Ph.D. and a medical degree from the University of Chicago. Dr. Seung completed his residency in radiation oncology at the University of California – San Francisco, where he also received his gamma knife training. Board certified in radiation oncology, Dr. Seung practices with The Oregon Clinic. He has published a number of articles on gamma knife radiosurgery and stereotactic radiosurgery.


Dr. Adler

David E. Adler, M.D., neurosurgeon, earned his medical degree from SUNY in Brooklyn, New York. He practices with Columbia Neurosurgical Associates in Portland, Ore. Dr. Adler is board certified in neurological surgery.


Dr. Antezana

David Fernando Antezana, M.D., neurosurgeon, earned his medical degree from University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and completed his residency in neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore. Dr. Antezana practices with Microneurosurgical Consultants, P.C.


Stephen Bader, MD

Stephen Bader, M.D., radiation oncologist, has 10 years of experience in radiosurgery, including setting up the radiosurgery program at Providence Portland Medical Center. In addition, Dr. Bader is the medical director of the Providence Health & Services Regional Department of Radiation Oncology, and is a private practice radiation oncologist with The Oregon Clinic. Dr. Bader holds a medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine. He completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at New England Deaconess Hospital in Boston, and a fellowship in radiation therapy at the Joint Center for Radiation Therapy in Boston. He has served as a clinical fellow in medicine and in radiation therapy at Harvard Medical School in Boston.


Jefferson Chen, M.D.

Jefferson Chen, M.D., Ph.D., neurosurgeon, holds a Ph.D. and a medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore and completed his residency in neurosurgery at University of California – San Diego. He practices with Pacific Neurosurgical in Portland, Ore. Dr. Chen is board certified in neurological surgery.


Dave Gannett, MD

Dave Gannett, M.D., radiation oncologist, earned his medical degree at the University of Washington. He has written for several publications on the role of radiosurgery in the treatment of malignant brain tumors, and has received grants from the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology and the Radiological Society of North America to study radiation treatment effects on brain tumors.


Dr. Gotkowitz

Carrie Gotkowitz, M.D., radiation oncologist, earned her medical degree from Brown University – Dartmouth College Program in Medicine and completed her residency at the University of California – San Francisco. She practices with Northwest Cancer Specialists in Vancouver. Dr. Gotkowitz is board certified in radiation oncology.


Dr. Hansen

Eric Hansen, M.D., radiation oncologist, earned his bachelor's degree at Yale University and his medical degree at Oregon Health and Science University, both with honors. He trained in Gamma Knife radiosurgery and completed his radiation oncology residency at the University of California, San Francisco, where he also served as Chief Resident. Dr. Hansen is the co-editor of Handbook of Evidence-Based Radiation Oncology, one of the top-selling medical texts in radiation oncology. He is also currently a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at UCSF.


Joanna Harper

Joanna Harper, M.Sc., senior medical physicist, received her bachelor’s degree in physics and master’s degree in radiological physics from the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, Canada. She is in charge of primary treatment planning at the Gamma Knife Center of Oregon. Ms. Harper is board certified in radiation oncology physics. 


Harold Kim

Harold Kim, M.D., otologist and neurotologist, earned his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. Dr. Kim is board certified in otolaryngology and neurotology and practices with Wilson Ear Clinic.


Dr. Johnson

Jeffrey Johnson, M.D., neurosurgeon, earned his medical degree from Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City. He practices with Portland Neurosurgery. Dr. Johnson is board certified in neurosurgery.


Ashok Modha, MD

Ashok Modha, M.D., neurosurgeon, earned his medical degree from the University of Winnipeg in Winnipeg, Manitoba,Canada; completed his residency at University of Ottawa in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada; and he completed a fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.  


Dr. Nitta

Kenneth Nitta, M.D., radiation oncologist, earned his medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine and completed his residency at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Ore. He practices with Radiation Oncology Associates. Dr. Nitta is board certified in radiation oncology

Dr. Patton

Gregory Patton, M.D., radiation oncologist, practices with Northwest Cancer Specialists. In addition to his medical degree, he holds an MS in Administrative Medicine, an MS in Medical Informatics, and an MBA. He completed his residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Dr. Patton is board certified in therapeutic radiology.


Dr. Rohrer

Daniel Rohrer, M.D., neurosurgeon, earned his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla and completed his residency in neurosurgery at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Ore. He practices with Comprehensive Neurosurgical Consultants and is board certified in neurological surgery. Dr. Rohrer is co-medical director of Providence Cranial Services and is a member of the Laser Advisory Committee at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center.


David Silver, MD

David Silver, M.D., neurosurgeon, earned his medical degree at Harvard University and completed residencies at the Medical College of Virginia and at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He is an associate clinical professor of neurosurgery at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Ore., and completed a fellowship in neurosurgery at Yale. Dr. Silver is board certified in neurosurgery.


Dr. Soldevilla

Francisco Soldevilla, M.D., neurosurgeon, earned his medical degree from University of Illinois and completed his residency at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Ore. He practices with NW Neurosurgical Associates in Tualatin, Ore. Dr. Soldevilla is board certified in neurosurgery.


Matthew Solhjem, M.D.

Matthew Solhjem, M.D., radiation oncologist, earned his medical degree from University of Minnesota and completed his residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. Dr. Solhjem practices with The Oregon Clinic.


Cindy Ryan

Cindy Ryan, R.N., manager, is a registered nurse and is licensed with the Oregon State Board of Nursing. She has a strong background in radiation oncology and radiosurgery program management.
