Volunteer Opportunities

Gately Academy offers a variety of volunteer options, categorized into specific event-related opportunities for families to participate in. We know that special events, fundraising, field trips and charity work wouldn't be possible without the help of our committed parents and families. We invite families to commit to 10 hours of volunteer work each trimester at Gately Academy. Listed below are a few of the ways volunteers like to get involved. Library Committee

Have a passion for books? Know how and where to organize them? Got a clean record on your library card? Gately is in need of two parents (hopefully of 5th or 6th graders) to commit to the Gately Library Committee. Please email Dave Ball if you are interested.

Gately Art Festival

Committee volunteers are needed to help organize and plan the annual Art Festival. Duties will include help to seek out artists to come and share with the students about their craft as well as help to support a silent auction to raise money for the Gately art program

Bulletin Board Volunteer

Help maintain and design the Gately Academy bulletin board (in the entry of the school). Update information and calendar as needed.

Open House Hosts

Bring a warm handshake and friendly smile and help us welcome visitors and new families once each trimester at Gately Open Houses.

Pizza Friday Volunteers

Organize and facilitate Pizza Friday's lunch event at Gately. Order and deliver pizza; handle money from students for Student Council fund.

Gately Pride

Organize the purchasing and ordering of Gately sweatshirts and memorabilia for school pride. Collect money and distribute items in a Gately Gorillas Store once a trimester.

Parent Liaison to Ronald McDonald House Charity

Organize and coordinate drop-off times of stuffed animals and artwork for the patient population at Ronald McDonald House.

Welcome Wagon

Greet and welcome new Gately families. Responsibilities include phoning new families and presenting them with a small welcome gift.
