Overview

The Providence Women and Heart Disease Program gives women the expert attention they deserve. Like all Providence Heart and Vascular Institute  programs, we develop care plans (prevention and treatment) based on nationally recognized standards.

In the U.S., heart disease kills more women than men; in fact, it’s the No. 1 cause of death for women. To help women who wish to improve or maintain their heart health, we offer:

  • Private six-step heart-health screenings (our "Heart-Healthy Exam")
  • Vascular disease screenings
  • Diagnostic evaluations
  • Treatment
  • Support services
  • Coordinated care and referrals
  • Online resources and education

With specialists known for delivering pioneering and compassionate care, it’s no surprise that Providence provides more heart-related services than anyone else in the Pacific Northwest.
