Hospice and Palliative Care Programs

 

Making decisions for yourself or a family member with advanced illness can often be confusing, scary and emotionally challenging.

Providence’s Hospice and Palliative Care programs are designed to assist and support you in finding answers to all of your questions. The programs offer help and support in pain and symptom management, referrals to health and other community resources, and support in all aspects of care – physical, spiritual, emotional.

Whether you are continuing treatment with advanced illness or focusing on comfort care, Providence Hospice & Palliative Care programs can assist you in making the best choices for your care.

Bereavement Support

The goal of Providence Hospice Bereavement program is to support the bereaved as they reconcile their loss, process grief and resume their normal activities.

Camp Erin

Camp Erin of Portland is a grief camp offered at no charge to children and teens ages 6-17. The camp provides a relaxed, safe and supportive setting for children to express their emotions, share their grief and learn positive coping skills.

Community Care

When a crisis happens to someone we care about, it’s natural to want to reach out. But sometimes we hesitate to visit or call because we’re afraid of saying of doing the wrong thing. Providence Hospice Community Care program can help.

Connections

Providence Connections provides information, referral and supportive services to patients with advanced illness. These services may include information, guidance, clarification of your personal values as they relate to your care, or specialized in-home services not typically offered by traditional home services.

Me, Too & Company

Me, Too & Company is a program that supports children and families who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, child, relative or friend. Eight-week support groups for children, teens and the adults in their lives are offered.
