Other Resources for Your Good Health

Good food and exercise
are the best medicine.

While you work on improving your diet, try to develop some other good habits, as well:

  • Dump the TV.
  • Get some daily exercise, even if it is just climbing stairs at work and skipping rope at home.
  • Read worthwhile books, such as:
    • The Omega Diet (Artemis P. Simopoulos, M.D., and Jo Robinson)
    • Eat, Drink, and Be Healthy (Walter C. Willett, M.D.)
    • The Mediterranean Diet Cookbook (Nancy Harmon Jenkins)
    • Good Food, Great Medicine (Mea Hassell and Miles Hassell, M.D.).

There will always be some disagreement among the various authors, but the more ideas you gather, the more you'll have to work with. Stay flexible and keep reading. You can constantly fine-tune your own rules, but the most important principle will keep floating to the top: Food really is your best medicine.

So start now and make every bite count!
