Overview
The Center for Outcomes Research and Education (CORE) measures and assesses health care outcomes, quality and satisfaction through the application of research and systematic evaluation. Established in 1989, CORE is part of Providence Health & Services in Oregon. CORE’s six directors of Health Services Research and its staff of analysts and researchers collaborate with Providence’s medical, nursing and administrative staff to identify national trends and determine the health system’s research agenda.

CORE’s current programmatic focus is on improving health care services, clinical informatics, and quality and satisfaction reporting, in addition to providing support for regulatory policies and building infrastructure for institutional research.
