Advocacy Partners
In order to strengthen our voice locally and in Washington, D.C., Providence Health & Services works collaboratively with other Catholic health systems in the Northwest, including PeaceHealth, Swedish Health Services in Seattle and Providence Services in Spokane. This group operates under the banner of "Providence Partners In Advocacy."
We also belong to various national and state-level health care associations, including the Catholic Health Association, the American Hospital Association, the American Association of Health Plans and state hospital associations in Alaska, California, Oregon and Washington.
Providence is also a member of local, state and national coalitions, including Supportive Care of the Dying: A Coalition for Compassionate Care, the Medicare Justice Coalition, Compassionate Choices in Washington State, and others.
