Accession Information: These photographs were transferred to the Archives by the Heights and by sisters who worked and entered the community there over a period of years.  Some photographs or subseries may bear an accession number, e.g. 96:152.

Processing Information: Photographs were added to the collection over the years by Archives staff. A typed inventory was created and the collection re-housed in September 2002 by Peter Schmid. Final processing completed February 2008 by Peter Schmid.

Series A: Bill Stephens Photographs

The Bill Stephen Photographs are comprised of prints that were in the original collection, and of original negatives (4x5” and medium-format) that were acquired in two accessions, the latest as 2007:153. All of the negatives date in the 1961-63 range.

Prints and negatives were matched, but there are a good deal of negatives for which no print is available. These were given the collection and series identification, but have not been individually numbered.
