Accession Information: These photographs were transferred to the Archives by the hospital and by sisters who worked there over a period of years.  Some photographs or subseries may bear an accession number, e.g. 96:152.

Processing Information: Photographs were added to the collection over the years by Archives staff. A typed inventory was created and the collection re-housed in November 2001 by Peter Schmid.

Note: Photographs marked “album Book I” and “album Book II” were removed from albums kept by Sr. Maria of Providence (3919) during her tenure as administrator, 1964-67.  Photographs marked with accession number 91:120 were removed from an album kept by nurse Catherine Carvey.  Xeroxed facsimile copies of each album are available at the end of the collection.
