Providence Centralia Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital in
beautiful southwest Washington. With expanding services and outstanding
technology, this rural hospital has become the heart of medical care in Lewis
County and the surrounding areas, serving approximately 70,000 residents.

Programs and Services
Diagnostic Imaging
Providence Centralia Hospital’s imaging department provides an extensive range of
diagnostic and therapeutic services using advanced technology, including a 64-slice CT
scanner, state-of-the-art MRI, and breast-specific gamma imaging. The hospital and its
freestanding imaging center also offer diagnostic X-ray, digital mammography, nuclear
medicine, ultrasound imaging and bone densitometry. Digital imaging and the picture
archiving and communication system (PACS) are used for greater efficiencies.
Family Birth Center
Dedicated to family-centered care, the Family Birth Center offers the comforts of home
with the benefits of technology. The center provides private rooms and a Level I specialcare
nursery.
Emergency Department
Providence Centralia Hospital recently constructed a new emergency department to keep
pace with the demands of our growing community. The 15,000-square-foot, $7.2 million
facility features 22 exam rooms, two major trauma rooms, expanded triage space, PACS
and computerized medical records.
Rehabilitation Services
Inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services are available to assist patients of all-ages.
Services include physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, pain
management, stroke management and pediatric therapy. Providence Centralia Hospital has
three physical medicine physicians on staff, all board certified in physical medicine and
rehabilitation as well as electrodiagnostic medicine. The hospital’s four freestanding
outpatient clinics provide a wide variety of physical therapy services.
Surgical Unit
The hospital’s remodeled 20-bed surgical unit features private rooms complete with ceiling lifts for
patient and staff safety, state-of-the-art beds for patient comfort and ease of transport, and flat-screen
televisions. The unit also includes a designated exercise/meeting room for orthopedic patients who
have undergone total joint surgeries.
Specialty Clinics and Centers
Providence Centralia Hospital operates several specialty clinics and centers to better serve various
patient populations in the community. These facilities focus on women’s health, family practice,
internal medicine, physical medicine, general surgery, pediatric care and chemical dependency
treatment. In 2009, the Providence Regional Cancer System opened a $6 million, 17,000- square-foot
cancer center, across the street from Providence Centralia, in partnership with RadiantCare Radiation
Oncology. Providence Western Washington Oncology practices in this facility; additionally patients
have access to outpatient infusion and radiation therapy featuring a Varian 21 IX linear accelerator.
