High-Tech, High-Touch Facilities
With building expansions, Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center is one of the most modern hospitals in the San Fernando Valley. Recent mprovements to the facility include a new seven-story, 200,000-square-foot Northeast Tower featuring high-tech imaging, cardiac services, gastroenterology services, a surgery wing, an intensive care unit, and a Women’s Pavilion with luxurious birthing and postpartum suites, a 20-bed neonatal ICU with a parent-transition room, and a high-tech infant security system. Investments in next-generation health care technology include the da Vinci S™ robotic surgery system and a 64-slice CT scanner.

Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center was the first in the San Fernando Valley to establish a 24/7 hospitalist service, enabling the facility to satisfy this Leapfrog Group patient safety standard. Also in place to benefit patient safety is a Rapid Response Team.

Providence Heart and Vascular Institute
Providence Heart and Vascular Institute is a leading provider of heart and thoracic services, with more than 2,600 cardiovascular and thoracic inpatients each year. Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center is among an elite group of hospitals in Los Angeles to be designated an ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) Receiving Center by the Los Angeles County EMS Agency. In addition, our vascular program is one of the largest in Southern California.

Providence Regional Cancer Centers
Providence Regional Cancer Centers are the largest providers of cancer services in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys. Our five year survival rates are well above the national averages for patients with breast, colorectal, ovarian and prostate cancers. At the new Roy and Patricia Disney Family Cancer Center, our priority is to provide countless services under one roof for one purpose: to triumph over cancer. Our advanced technologies combined with complementary therapies provide a level of customized treatment available in only a few of the country’s leading centers. With the help of nurse navigators, the Center is uniquely qualified to coordinate all of a patient’s needs — from arc radiation to appearance issues, from early detection to Eastern medicines. Providence Women’s Services
Providence Women’s Services features Southern California’s most advanced diagnostic technology, maternity suites and neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Every year, nearly 2,900 babies are born at Providence Saint Joseph and hundreds of high-risk infants are cared for in the facility’s renowned NICU. Features include a 24/7 anesthesia service, in-house perinatology, a NICU and special care nursery, and our Women’s Pavilion with state-of-the-art maternity suites.

Providence Neurosciences, Orthopedics and Acute Rehabilitation Services
Providence Neurosciences, Orthopedics and Acute Rehabilitation Services represent the largest and fastest-growing resources for individuals with complex neurological disorders. The Hycy & Howard Hill Neuroscience Institute, the valley’s only comprehensive neuroscience institute, is committed to advances in the neurosciences and the demands of specialized neurological care. The Institute offers: a Neurovascular Center including Neurointerventional Radiology, Movement Disorders Center offering Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS), and a Joint Commission Certified Primary Stroke Center. Providence Digestive Health Services
