Our founders, the Sisters of Providence, made the journey to Alaska by boat and
dogsled more than 100 years ago, compelled by a mission of service that continues
to inspire us.
Today, Providence operates hospitals in Anchorage, Kodiak, Seward and Valdez; Providence
Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage is the largest and most advanced medical facility
in Alaska and serves patients statewide. We also operate a large primary care clinic
in the Matanuska Valley 40 miles north of Anchorage.

Anchorage, AK - PAMC is the most comprehensive tertiary facility in the state
and the only one with a dedicated Children's Hospital. Physicians enjoy broad cross-specialty
support as well as flexible arrangements to meet individual needs. The campus is

Seward, AK - Thanks to its location at the head of world-famous Resurrection
