Washington
Providence has been a fixture in Washington since 1865. During that time, we've
grown with Washington's communities. Some of these communities are now large cities,
while others are still "in the middle of nowhere." The great thing is, Providence
is an integrated system, so physicians who love being "in the middle of nowhere"
have the support and resources of our larger facilities nearby. Big city or small
town: In Washington, the choice is yours.

capital in the southwest. More choices: we operate critical access hospitals, midsize
facilities, and major tertiary centers. There really isn't a bad choice with Providence
in Washington.

Living in Washington
A refreshing change of scenery is easy to achieve in Washington. The magnificent
Cascade Mountains that divide the state have a dramatic effect on climate: West
of the mountains is a temperate zone with gentle rains that keep forests green and
rivers clean; the east side is sunnier and drier with more distinct seasons. All
of which makes change-of-scenery road trips amazingly simple, and scenic.
