Providence DominiCare is a small, but vital, ministry within Providence Health Care. This ministry serves the frail and elderly of northern Washington with non-clinical home services. It is the only not-for-profit, in-home care agency in the tri-county area of Stevens, Pend Oreille and Ferry Counties. In 1985, an endowment from the Dominican Sisters was set up to enable the agency to offer their in-home care services on a sliding fee scale to serve those without the means to pay. Providence DominiCare continues to offer the lowest rates for their services in the region – and is proud to continue playing a big part in the Providence Mission of caring for the poor and vulnerable.
As a Providence-sponsored Ministry, Providence DominiCare offers a variety of in-home care services in the tri-county area. Our caregivers assist elderly and functionally impaired persons with maintaining their independence by providing in-home services. Services are provided seven days a week. The personal care, household assistance and family respite services are provided on an hourly basis. Providence DominiCare is a Washington State licensed home care agency.
Providence DominiCare provides in-home care services using a sliding fee schedule, so that all can receive service regardless of the individual’s ability to pay. Charitable services are made possible by individual and corporate donations, grants, and planned gifts.
