Providence Health Care (PHC) is an integrated network of 11 health care ministries in Eastern Washington providing assisted living, long term care, home health care, adult day health and other programs. PHC’s “Continuum of Care” ministries are those that provide care outside the hospital setting. These ministries, along with the hospitals and other Providence ministries, share the same Providence Mission and Values. In addition to Emilie Court Assisted Living, the “Continuum” ministries include:
St Joseph Care Center (SJCC)
SJCC is directly across 8th Avenue from Emilie Court. If an Emilie Court resident goes to the hospital and needs temporary nursing home care, they are able to go to SJCC and then come back to Emilie Court. If one of our residents needs to move to a higher level of care and can no longer live at Emilie Court, he or she can move across the street and find a loving home in a Providence-sponsored ministry with the same high standards of quality care, respect and dignity.
VNA Home Health Care Services (also known as Spokane Visiting Nurse Association)
VNA is Providence Health Care’s home health agency and has been providing quality care in Spokane since 1942. If Emilie Court residents need home health care such as skilled nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, or some other home health service that we do not provide at Emilie Court, we highly recommend using VNA. VNA’s services are available under Medicare and Medicaid, as well as some private insurances. VNA is also able
Holy Family Adult Day Centers
Holy Family Adult Day Centers (HFADC) has been providing day health services for nearly 30 years and currently has two locations—on the Northside near Holy Family Hospital and on the South Hill near Regal and the Palouse Highway. Both centers are open from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and are staffed by nurses, recreational therapists, social workers, occupational therapists and personal care aides. HFADC serves individuals recovering from stroke, having memory problems or coping with long-term conditions like multiple sclerosis or Parkinson’s disease, as well as the frail elderly. Clients attend from two to five days each week. Adult day services may provide ongoing rehabilitation or care that prolongs the time residents are able to stay in assisted living without moving to a higher level of care in a skilled nursing facility.
