Peggy Fleming to Speak at Local Fund-Raising Luncheon on May 23
OLYMPIA––Providence St. Peter Foundation presents Peggy Fleming as the keynote speaker for its first "Celebrating Health, Hope & Healing" wellness luncheon on Thursday, May 23.
Fleming won the gold medal for figure skating in Grenoble, France, in 1968. On the 30th anniversary of her gold medal, Peggy was diagnosed with breast cancer.
On May 23, Peggy will share her inspirational story of battling cancer. Proceeds from the luncheon will support the Providence St. Peter Hospital Regional Cancer Center by funding counseling services for cancer patients and providing support for mammograms for women in need in Thurston, Lewis and Grays Harbor counties.
The luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Saint Martin’s College Pavilion, 5300 Pacific Ave. S.E., Lacey. Cost is $75. Reservations must be made by May 16. Please call (360) 493-7981.
