1. Orientation: Hospital orientation is a requirement before volunteering. Adult volunteer orientation is held on the second and fourth Mondays each month from 7:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For Junior Volunteer orientation, email dorian.eberly@providence [rename hyperlink "Contact Volunteer Services"] to request latest information and orientation schedule.
2. Health Requirements: New volunteers must report to Employee Health for a health screening, which includes a TB blood draw and immunization screening.
3. Performance Evaluations: Volunteers will have an annual performance evaluation from their department volunteer liaison.
4. Environment of Care: Volunteers must complete an annual refresher education packet.
5. Confidentiality: Volunteers are required to uphold the confidentiality agreement or be subject to termination.
6. Attendance: Volunteers who miss 4 consecutive weeks of their assignment without an excused absence may be subject to removal from the volunteer program.
7. Dress Code: Volunteers are to wear their volunteer uniform with business casual attire. All volunteers are to wear their photo ID badge at all times, above the waist. Volunteers may never wear blue jeans or flip flops.
