Beyond Cancer Support Group
This group offers emotional support, encouragement and information for those coping with diagnosis, treatment and recovery from cancer. Also open to adult family members and support people. Meets second and fourth Mondays of each month, 1:30–3 p.m. Call (360) 493-7040.
Cancer Counseling
Free counseling is available for individuals trying to cope with the challenge of a cancer diagnosis. A licensed oncology social worker can help people find a sense of control over their illness and lives. For more information, call (360) 493-7960.
Cancer Information Center
Located on the third floor of Providence St. Peter Hospital, the Cancer Information Center provides a wide selection of free brochures and pamphlets about different types of cancer and cancer–related issues. Free.
Look Good, Feel Better
Co-sponsored by the American Cancer Society (ACS), this class offers consultation on self-image and hair/wig/turban options. Instructors are ACS-certified. Meets second Tuesday of each month, 1:30–3 p.m. Free. Call (360) 493-7768.
Prostate Cancer Support
This education and support program includes information on prostate cancer treatment, side effects and how to cope with the disease. Touch of Strength Support Group
