The workshop will include professional guest speakers, clinics and exhibits, including information on services for older adults and persons with disabilities, with a focus on staying independent and preventing falls. Clinics will include orthostatic blood pressure checks, blood sugar testing, fall risk assessment, strength and balance testing, footwear assessment, medication "brown bag" (bring a complete list of your medications for review by a pharmacist) and the S.A.I.L. (Staying Active and Independent for Life) exercise program. Several free drawing gifts have been donated by businesses in the community. Lunch will be provided; so come and enjoy a fun-filled, educational day. Come for a short visit or stay all day. For ease of parking, free shuttle service will be offered continuously throughout the day from Pioneer Park.
