Hospitalists

Hospitalists are physicians whose practice is dedicated entirely to the care of hospitalized patients. Because their sole practice is within the hospital itself, they do not maintain an office in the community.

Our hospitalists work in teams to provide 24-hour coverage for hospitalized patients. Generally hospitalists are internal medicine specialists, though some are trained in subspecialties, such as critical care or geriatrics. They work closely with patients' primary care physicians to ensure a smooth transition of care.
