Within their respective communities, the Foundations fund equipment, education, community outreach programs and other health care programs provided by Providence St. Peter Hospital, Providence Mother Joseph Care Center, Providence SoundHomeCare & Hospice, St. Francis House and Providence Centralia Hospital.
Gifts can be designated to specific areas of medical care such as cancer, heart, rehabilitation, sexual assault, hospice, women's and children's services, and many others.
Gifts can also be given to the Greatest Need Fund at either Foundation. This "unrestricted fund" can be accessed by all areas and institutions served by the Foundations through a bi-annual grant cycle.
The Greatest Need Fund enables the Foundation to respond to a variety of local needs within Providence programs and services at the discretion of the Foundation Board. Patient care services, health education, capital improvements and vital equipment purchases have all been made possible through grant awards from the Greatest Need Fund.
