Why should I give? Gifts through the employee giving campaign directly impact the quality of care that South Sound residences receive. Patient care services, health education and vital equipment purchases have all been made possible through support of our Providence employee family. Gifts enable our staff to utilize the best equipment, facilities and medical techniques available to assist them in providing quality health care. In an era of rising costs and diminishing reimbursements, meeting this commitment is a greater challenge than ever before. That is why private donations from employees and our community are of increasing importance. Support of the campaign and the belief in the mission of the Sisters of Providence goes a long way in helping to improve lives throughout our local communities.
“When they contribute to the campaign, they are helping their own mission.” Sr. Rita Ferschweiler Sister of Providence Foundation Board Member
How much of my dollar actually goes to the program or service provided? 100% of your gift through Providence St. Peter Foundation goes to the program (s) designated. 82.5% of your gift to the United Way of Thurston County goes to the program (s) designated.
How does payroll deduction work? Can I change my pledge at any point in time? Your desired gift is taken out of each paycheck during the course of the year (24 pay periods total starting in January). Every gift counts. Even a modest pledge per pay period can help provide vital services to people in need. Your gift combined with that of your friends, neighbors and co-workers truly makes a difference in our community. You may change or stop payroll deduction at anytime. Please contact the Foundation to make any changes. The change will be implemented in the month following your request. “If everyone participates in the campaign, that money adds up quickly and there are more funds to share for those who really need it.” Peggy Williams Mother Joseph Care Center Employee
Where can I turn in my completed form? Providence employees may return forms to the Foundation office at Providence St. Peter Hospital (second floor next to Human Resources), to your respective campaign coordinator, or in the campus return envelope that is provided in your Employee Giving Campaign packet. Timeframe The Providence Employee Giving Campaign kicks off in mid-September and runs through mid-October. Payroll deductions start the following January. New pledge forms are welcomed anytime throughout the year.
