Inpatient Services
The Regional Cancer Center's team of experts offers hospitalized patients the latest advances in chemotherapy, radiation therapy and surgery, both on-site at Providence St. Peter Hospital and through facilities located adjacent to our campus.
Outpatient Services
The Regional Cancer Center is uniquely equipped to offer a broad range of outpatient services for patients recovering from cancer and other conditions. Outpatient services include:
- Counseling
- Blood disorder treatment
- Chemotherapy
- Radiation therapy follow-up care
- Infectious disease treatment
- Lung, breast, prostate, leukemia, lymphoma therapies
- Orthopedic follow-up care
- Neurologic follow-up care
- Infusion services, including administration of blood and blood products; IV antibiotic therapy; fluid replacement; chemotherapy; anti-emetic treatment; medication injections; and placement, teaching and maintenance for at-home IV devices
Pain Control
Helping patients enjoy a high quality of life is a major focus of the Regional Cancer Center. Experts in pain control are available to inpatients for bedside consultation. They provide information on pain management techniques ranging from non-narcotic methods such as massage, biofeedback, music therapy and relaxation, as well as sophisticated, self-controlled pain medication.
Outpatient Counseling
Counseling is available to everyone, regardless of ability to pay. Some insurance plans cover part of the cost and a sliding fee scale is available. For information, call (360) 493-7960.
Integrative Medicine
Sound Cancer Connections is an integrative care program in the Olympia, Washington area, which provides local resources for cancer patients and their families by addressing the mind, body and spirit to improve quality of life. This program coordinates education and facilitates the integration of care between conventional medicine and complementary therapies. Examples of services include oncology massage, yoga and acupuncture. Sound Cancer Connections is a partnership of Providence St. Peter Hospital, Providence Western Washington Oncology and RadiantCare Radiation Oncology.
