Prepared Childbirth
This four-week series prepares expectant parents for the physical and emotional aspects of the later stages of pregnancy, labor, birth and the time after your baby is born. Topics include labor and birth process; breathing and pushing techniques; assisted deliveries; recovery and postpartum; relaxation; pain relief options; cesarean birth; and hospital tour. Includes a separate Infant Safety & CPR class and/or Breastfeeding Your Baby class.
Providence St. Peter - Tuesdays or Thursdays, 7-9 p.m.
Providence Centralia - Wednesdays, 7-9 p.m. 
Cost: $95/couple or medical coupon

Fast Track Childbirth
An accelerated version of our four-week class, this class is offered in one day. Includes a hospital tour and a separate Infant Safety & CPR class and/or Breastfeeding Your Baby class.
Providence St. Peter - Saturdays or Sundays, 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
Providence Centralia - Saturdays or Sundays - 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
Cost: $95/couple or medical coupon

Sibling Celebration 
Siblings ages 2-8, along with their parents, prepare for their role as big brother or sister. Siblings learn what to expect when they come to the hospital, what it's like to have a new baby in the home, how to hold a newborn, and safe behavior, using life-like dolls. Also includes a hospital tour and a peek inside the newborn nursery.
Providence St. Peter - One-session class Saturdays or Sundays, 10 a.m.-noon. 
Cost: $20/family.

Sibling Tours at Providence Centralia
Available on request. Recommended that children be at least two years old and that the tour takes place within three weeks of mom’s due date. Call 360/330-8629 to schedule your free tour.

New & Expectant Dads
Veteran fathers (new fathers who bring along their babies to the second class) orient the fathers-to-be on the realities of fatherhood. Topics include Dad's role, daily baby care, calming a crying baby, safety issues, car seat safety and postpartum adjustment. Dads only please!
Providence St. Peter - Two-session class. Saturdays or Sundays, 10 a.m.-noon.
Cost: $40

Grandparents Class
For expectant and new grandparents. Topics include how things have changed since you became parents; communication between parents & grandparents; how grandparents can help; current guidelines for infant care, car seats & safety; and the 5 S's to calm a fussy baby.
Providence St. Peter - Saturdays or Sundays, 2-4 p.m.
Cost: $20/grandparent

Infant Safety & CPR
Learn the latest safety recommendations for your baby. Class features a hands-on demonstration of various safety issues. An instructor from Medic One demonstrates infant choking resuscitation techniques and infant CPR with hands-on practice time for new parents. Class is also open to adoptive parents, grandparents, caregivers, single dads, etc.
Providence St. Peter - Saturdays or Sundays, 2-4 p.m.
Cost: $40/couple or free if attending childbirth classes.

Infant Safety at Providence Centralia
You will learn how to make your home a safer place for your family, including infant CPR, choking and handling emergencies. Taught by a firefighter. $15 or medical coupon. Call 360/330-8629 to register.

Breastfeeding Your Baby
Find out the benefits of breastfeeding for mom and baby. You will learn proper positioning and latch-on techniques, how to troubleshoot potential problems and helpful hints to enhance your breastfeeding success. Your support person also is encouraged to attend.
Providence St. Peter - Thursdays, 7-9 p.m.
Cost: $20/couple or free if attending childbirth classes.
