 Michael Shannon, M.D., joined the Providence Internal Medicine/Endocrinology clinic at Hawks Prairie in September 2007. He is the clinic's only physician who specializes in endocrinology, treating patients with thyroid disorders, diabetes and osteoporosis. He performs ultrasound-guided thyroid biopsies in the office.
Dr. Shannon is board-certified in endocrinology, internal medicine and geriatric medicine. He completed his endocrinology fellowship at the University of Washington. For the past six years, Dr. Shannon worked for the VA Puget Sound Health Care System in Seattle and Tacoma.
