Support Services - Providence St. Peter Hospital

Chapel/Spiritual Support
The hospital chapel located on the second floor is open from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily for meditation and prayer. People of all denominations are welcome. Roman Catholic mass is held in the chapel weekdays at noon and Sundays at 7:30 a.m.

Our chaplains and priests provide spiritual and emotional support for you and your family. They can be reached from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. by calling 493-7240, or dial "0" for the operator and ask that a chaplain be paged. Someone is on-call 24 hours a day to assist you.

Care Coordinators & Social Workers
Our care coordinators and social workers provide free counseling and assistance to patients and their families during a hospital stay. Care coordinators can help with plans for going home or to another facility. They also can help arrange for home health, transportation or medical equipment in the home.

Social workers provide brief counseling and are available to help with housing and financial issues. They also can provide information on public assistance, Social Security benefits, legal advice, support groups and drug/alcohol counseling.
