Working in partnership with local organizations, physicians, health providers and the American Cancer Society, Providence offers a full spectrum of educational programs, as well as free and low-cost screenings to help identify cancer at an early stage. Providence cancer outreach services brings screenings such as mammograms and well-women exams right to churches, schools and other neighborhood sites, for those who have limited access to care. Many of the classes and cancer resources are bilingual in order to reach the community’s growing Latino population. |
