She's worried about the moving boxes, fretting that they still haven't been unpacked. It's been only a month since she, husband Tim, baby Tyler and their dog Shadow moved into a new home in Klamath Falls, Ore., where Tim is stationed as a flight instructor for the Oregon Air national Guard. She smiles gratefully when someone points out that most people take a good six months to unpack everything.

During the past four months, former Miss America Katie Harman Ebner has: had a baby, graduated from college, made the move from her hometown of Gresham to Klamath Falls, spent a week in Georgia working as a judge for the Miss Georgia pageant, made several performances as a classical vocalist in concert venues around the state, made many speaking arrangements (as well as arranged for several others) throughout the United States, hosted a Rose Festival event in Portland, and worked as a tireless advocate for several foundations and non-profit organizations – including the Providence Cancer Center and the historic Providence Together Capital Campaign – dedicated to breast cancer research and support.
